So... why is this site called "rainypony.com"? I must admit that it took me an extremely long time to figure out a domain name. Normally people use their first name and surname, or some combination thereof. There's one problem: people don't know how to spell my name, especially if it's given to them verbally. (Just to be safe, I do have kendallchurch.com registered - it redirects here.) Plan B: find some creative, clever name that is easy to remember and can't be misspelled.
Easier said than done. It took me days to think of something. I finally read somewhere that a good way to pick a domain name would be to take two words - an adjective and a noun - and use those. So how did I come up with "Rainy pony?" Simple. Rainy was my first horse. Despite being a 16 hand draft cross, she looked like an overgrown pony. So there you have it.
All of the other design is my own work.
The site is primarily coded in HTML with CSS tags... with a little jolt of Javascript thrown in. It will eventually be fully XHTML compliant, so every opening tag will be complete with the standard "/" at the end. Annnd I'll try my hardest to close all my <p> tags - it's a bad habit left over from my days of trying to shave off every bit of data in the page.
